This acrylic on canvas confronts the viewer directly — the tiger's gaze unapologetic, its reflection a second painting within the painting. The artist spent five days on the eyes alone, building depth through forty-seven layers of acrylic pigment — ochre, amber, raw umber, and black — before the final gold of the iris was placed.
The reflection below is not a mirror — it is the tiger's shadow self, slightly dissolved in dark water. The work asks: which half is the truth?
